Clarissa Brock

Clarissa’s passion for training is rooted in a lifelong fascination with behavior — how we learn, how we communicate, and how the right support can unlock confidence in both humans and animals. Before working with dogs, she helped children on the autism spectrum build new skills and navigate big emotions, an experience that shaped her patient, thoughtful approach to behavior change.

Her journey into dog training began at a board-and-train facility in Santa Barbara, where she quickly discovered how much she loved helping dogs — especially those struggling with fear, frustration, or reactivity. She advanced from a kennel attendant to a lead trainer, working hands-on with dogs in all stages of learning, from foundational manners to real-world behavior modification.

Driven by a desire to provide personalized coaching and meaningful progress for every family, Clarissa launched Good Snoot LLC — a training experience centered around trust, clarity, and everyday calm. She believes every dog deserves to feel understood, and every owner deserves the tools to help their dog thrive.

Clarissa’s training style is balanced and relationship-focused, emphasizing communication, confidence building, and fulfillment through movement and enrichment. She loves working closely with people just as much as their pups — because lasting change always happens through the human-dog connection.

When she’s not training, you can find her exploring local trails with Buddy, her joyful (and deaf) rescue dog, or studying the latest in animal behavior science to continuously elevate her craft. She feels lucky every day to support families on their training journey — helping good dogs become even better companions.
